About Blind Pass Condominiums

Meet OUR FRIENDLY staff

Meet the staff at Blind Pass Condos: Tom, Katy, Billy and Tayla!
Our staff truly cares about the guests and families that come to stay with us. They are friendly, knowledgable and ready to help make your family vacation the best that it can be!

TOM - RENTAL MANAGER
Tom is a “jack of all trades,” having been a printing press operator, photographer, journalist, on-air radio disc jockey, bartender and HR manager, among other things. Prior to moving to SW Florida in 2015, Tom was a regular visitor to Sanibel for more than 20 years. Before joining the Blind Pass team, he was the maintenance manager for Kingfisher Vacations, handling more than 80 properties all over Sanibel and Captiva. Tom is looking forward to helping return Blind Pass back to the beautiful property it was before Hurricane Ian. He enjoys taking a walk to the beach before work, and his favorite restaurants are Cielo for fine dining, Doc Ford’s for a sports bar scene, and Lazy Flamingo for the best grouper sandwich and ice-cold beer!

TAYLA - QUALITY INSPECTOR
Tayla is a familiar face to many visitors at Blind Pass. She started as a part-time weekend inspector here six years ago, and for the past five years, has been the Quality Inspector working closely with housekeeping staff and owners to prepare our accommodations for guests. Tayla has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. She was born and raised in Cape Coral, where she continues to reside today – in the house originally owned by her grandmother -- with partner Brian and son Grayson. Tayla grew up spending many family vacations on Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach. In her free time, she enjoys riding off-road (SxS) with her family, putting her “green thumb” to work collecting and raising plants, and relaxing in the Florida sun.

KATY - RESERVATION SPECIALIST
Katy first vacationed on Sanibel in 1998, 85 years after her great-grandfather first spent the winter here on Captiva! She moved to Cape Coral in 2015, upon retiring from teaching high school English in New York’s Adirondack Mountain region. Katy also has a background in journalism, public relations, and the hospitality industry, and has worked in the condo rental business on Sanibel for the past seven years. Now she’s looking forward to meeting the owners and making the guests at Blind Pass feel right at home during their precious vacation time here. Katy's favorite restaurants are The Green Flash for dinner and The Lighthouse Café for breakfast. Her favorite activity on island is bicycling through “Ding” Darling or kayaking at Tarpon Bay and her favorite place to shop is at Periwinkle Place.

BILLY - MAINTENANCE
Billy first visited Sanibel while on vacation 30 years ago. Originally from New Jersey, Billy ran a warehouse for 16 years and worked for UPS for a decade. He's been living in the area now for five years, most recently working as a groundskeeper at Shell Point, at Jerry's on Sanibel prior to the hurricane, and then assisting with island cleanup after the storm. Billy always travels with his fishing poles in the back of his car, and when on island, loves to find a painted shell or look up and see an eagle eyeing its next meal. He also enjoys treasure-hunting at Fleamasters Fleamarket and local thrift stores.
